It typically takes us 12-16 weeks to respond to submissions.
Young Writers: Watermelon University Open for Enrollment!
Each month on a Saturday, young scholars are invited to meet Professor Watermelon and Mister Sm艺术 at the 印第安纳波利斯 Public Library. For three adventurous hours, the class dives into a themed topic, 就像神话中的森林, a spooky town or a harvest garden. Washington Post Seeking Op-eds
In our effort to bring in more voices from across America, the Washington Post’s op-ed dep艺术ment would like to hear from 作家 with a wide variety of backgrounds, 兴趣与展望. The 一个 constant should be that they are good 作家 with strong viewpoints, and value facts and reas一个d argument over invective. We’ll welcome 一个-off submissions, or pieces on breaking news events that we solicit, but we also hope that some 作家 will develop into regular contributors.
The Washington Post maintains a high bar for acceptance: We receive a large volume of op-ed submissions and have limited space, so even worthwhile op-eds might not be accepted if they don’t meet our needs at the moment. But our having a designated venue for op-eds from across the country does expand the possibility that your submission could find a 首页 在这里. (A good target length for op-eds is 750-800 words.)
Here are some examples of 写作 that would fit into this category. 如你所见, the range of topics is broad – political, 个人, 分析, 幽默的, 法律, 面向业务的, 凡是你能想到的.
